ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Our Annual Conference is held in the Fall of each year at locations of distinction. The BTI prides itself on the quality of its host facilities and the technical presentations, which qualify for continuing education credits for CPAs and attorneys. Overall, the annual conference provides an interesting blend of tax, technology, finance, and legislative information to enhance your ability to perform your role as a tax professional for your telecommunication company.

Guest Speakers

We often have guest speakers who attend our conferences representing various segments of the telecommunications industry. Speakers are generally drawn from the membership and prominent accounting, valuation, and legal firms serving the telecom area. Current tax issues and potential solutions are covered by our speakers and panelists. Additional information and open discussions also follow within various breakout sessions.

Non-tax matters of importance are also covered at BTI's Annual Conference.
The Institute will call on engineers to discuss technological innovations leading to new business services and on Wall Street financial professionals, who discuss the latest in financing techniques. A Washington, DC legislative update is usually included as well.

Group Activities
We try our best to take full advantage of any local activities, entertainment, or sporting events within the city hosting each conference. Details regarding any activity registration required prior to each conference will be posted within our web site. We also post relevant information regarding accommodations, fees, and a conference agenda once this information is available.

SPECIAL PROJECTS

In addition to our annual conference, BTI has initiated specific projects related to creating a sale/use tax database, personal property projects, and legislative committees to facilitate effective tax lobbying and bill oversight. Special projects begin as a need presents itself among the membership.
